Day 8 – Rest Day

Today is the 8th day of the tournament, officially this day is considered a day off. But the organizers decided to give children the opportunity to spend this day not only with rest but also with benefit.
Today, an event — the World Cup in Chess Solving for children under 8, 10, and 12 — was held, where participants solved a series of compositions. The International Arbiter in Chess Composition, Davit Gurgenidze, served as the chief arbiter of the Championship.
Also today, a special blitz tournament — the Nesis Cup 2025 — was organized for official delegation coaches and 10 specially invited players (5 nominated by the organizer and 5 by the Georgian Chess Federation). The tournament was held over 9 rounds in the Swiss system.
The winners were awarded at the end of the event by IA Gennady Nesis.
